Module Location

CEISA

Objective

The CEISA module is designed to assist in the centralized management of Kokola’s customs document administration processes, ranging from the creation and management of customs documents, the submission of documents to the CEISA Customs system, the monitoring and retrieval of document responses, to the synchronization of information with the company’s ERP system.

A. What is CEISA?

CEISA stands for Customs-Excise Information System and Automation. CEISA is a digital system developed by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise to support services and oversight in the areas of customs and excise.

Through CEISA, processes related to customs documents can be carried out electronically, from document submission and data processing to monitoring document status. The Customs and Excise Office describes CEISA 4.0 as a system that integrates various customs and excise services into a single platform, enabling processes to run in a more centralized, integrated, and automated manner.

Simply put:

“CEISA can be considered a digital bridge between companies and the Customs and Excise Office.”

B. CEISA Functions

CEISA is used to assist in the management of various customs processes. In general, CEISA can be used to:

  • create and manage customs documents;
  • submit documents to Customs;

  • obtain document numbers and status;

  • monitor document processing;

  • receive responses from the Customs system; and

  • support the import and export of goods in accordance with the company’s operations.
C. Government CEISA and Local CEISA

System

Description

CEISA 4.0

Customs and Excise

The official system of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise used for customs and excise services and oversight.

Kokola Local CEISA

An internal Kokola application used to prepare, manage, submit, and monitor customs documents.

Based on the system used at Kokola, Kokola Local CEISA functions as a user-facing application. Document data is prepared in Kokola Local CEISA and can then be sent to Government CEISA through an integration process.

D. What is Customs?

Customs refers to the process of administering, providing services for, and supervising goods entering or leaving Indonesian territory. In business operations, this may relate to:

  • goods originating from abroad;

  • goods to be exported;

  • goods entering bonded facilities;

  • goods leaving bonded facilities; or

  • the movement of goods between areas subject to specific customs treatment.

Since every movement of goods has a different purpose and treatment, the types of documents required may also vary.

E. What is TPB?

A TPB (Bonded Storage Area) is a special area for the entry and exit of goods that receives specific facilities and supervision from Customs. A TPB is a building, location, or area that meets specific requirements for storing goods for a specific purpose and receiving customs facilities. One type of TPB is a Bonded Zone. A Bonded Zone is a special location or area within the country used to store imported or domestic goods for processing or reassembly, with the resulting products primarily intended for export.
